New Delhi: The BJP’s performance in the Delhi MCD elections, irrespective of the exit polls, dashed AAP’s dream of a one-sided victory. Despite 15 years of anti-incumbency, BJP’s performance in municipal elections has been quite satisfactory. However, now fake audio which was surfaced on social media during the election time has increased the difficulties of State President Adesh Gupta. While making this video viral during elections, Adesh Gupta was accused of buying and selling tickets. It is now reported through sources that such an order was made as a conspiracy to remove Gupta from the post.
‘Digital Morph Checking Agency’ found false
Amidst the ruckus of the viral audio, the ‘Digital Morph Checking Agency’ in its investigation classified it under edited audio category. According to the agency, fake audio was prepared by mixing different types of audio in order to spread the alleged allegations. However, after the fact check, the audio suddenly stopped being shared on social media and as the elections approached, it just disappeared.
According to party sources, there are rumours that the action can be taken on the basis of this viral audio. In such a situation, it is speculated that a strategy had been worked out to sack the state president by sharing the audio under a conspiracy. on the condition of anonymity, a BJP leader has claimed that by spreading false audio, efforts are being made to create a negative atmosphere against the state president for a long time.
BJP’s performance is satisfactory at the stronghold of AAP
The booth-level management of the BJP has appeared stronger than before. Despite the efforts of the Aam Aadmi Party, the BJP has been able to make inroads among its voters.
