Month After Brahmin Pujari Burnt Alive: No one arrested, Zero Compensation, 3 sons orphaned

Mathura: In a tragic incident that occurred over a month ago, Brahmin Pujari Nand Kishore Sharma was brutally burnt alive in Mathura, leaving his three sons orphaned and without a guardian. Despite the passage of time, the Mathura police have failed to make any significant progress in the case, leaving the family frustrated and seeking justice.

The body of Nand Kishore Sharma, who was responsible for conducting religious rituals and ceremonies at Radha Krishna Temple, was discovered on June 7th in Deenu Hazi ka Kothra, Dautana, with 90 burn injuries. He was immediately rushed to Delhi Safdarjung Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

With their father’s untimely demise, Nand Kishore Sharma’s three sons now face a daunting future without parental guidance. However, the Brahmin community has rallied around them, offering support and assistance during this challenging time. Expressing his disappointment, Nand Kishore Sharma’s father criticized the lack of support from BJP leaders and the government’s failure to provide compensation to the family. He voiced his deep frustration with the police investigation, claiming that they are too impoverished and weak to seek justice independently.

Neo Politico reached out to Shyam Sharma, the deceased pujari’s brother, to inquire about the progress in the case. Shyam Sharma echoed his father’s sentiments, stating that the police investigation has been inadequate and the family has not received any compensation for the heinous crime committed against them. “Neither has the investigation been conducted properly nor has any compensation been provided to the family,” Shyam expressed to Neo Politico. He also highlighted the absence of any political leaders offering their support to the grieving family.

As the family continues to mourn the loss of their loved one, they hope for a swift and thorough investigation into the incident, with the perpetrators brought to justice. Additionally, they urge the government and concerned authorities to provide the necessary support and compensation to help the children cope with their newfound circumstances. The community stands in solidarity with the family, demanding justice and an end to such atrocities.
