Following UP govt order, Krishna Janmbhumi temple stops using loudspeakers for broadcasting Mangal Aarti and Bhajans

Mathura: Following the directions issued by the UP govt, Mathura’s Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple has stopped the usage of loudspeakers for broadcasting the mangal aarti from Wednesday onwards.

While talking to the media Kapil Sharma, the secretary of Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust, has said that due to the directions coming from the CM Yogi we have stopped using loudspeakers for bhajans and aarti.

He added that the sound systems in the Bhagwat Bhawan temple henceforth would be played at a very low volume so that the kirtan-bhajan (prayer) sound does not traverse beyond the temple complex

However, controversial mosque standing adjacent to the temple is still using loudspeakers for broadcasting Ajaan.

The loudspeaker mounted on the spire of Shree Krishna Janmabhoomi temple used to play Manglacharan Aarti daily from 5:30 am to 6:30 am.

“We have ‘Manglacharan’ aarti, from 5am to 6am every day at Sri Krishna Janambhoomi which used to be broadcast over loudspeakers installed at Bhagwat Bhawan on premises of Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi . The committee decided to enforce directions given by the chief minister recently wherein he has suggested that sound of loudspeakers should not go out of premises”
