The march was taken out under the aegis of Akhila Bharath Veerashiva Mahasabha, with the State president of Mahasabha N. Thippanna, and other office-bearers including Gururaj Hunasimarad, leading it.

It was alleged that a false caste abuse case has been registered against the Tehsildar Pradeep Hiremath of Humanabad taluk.

The State president of Mahasabha N. Thippanna has alleged that some people made it a habit of filing cases against innocent people including judges and politicians under the provisions of the Act.

“The false cases are creating a divide in the society. False cases were also being filed even against judges and politicians which was a bad trend”, Thippanna told local media.

The Mahasabha also clarified that only 2% of the cases filed under the Act had been proven so far. Moreover, the state is promoting the people to impose more atrocity cases by offering a big compensation amount.
