Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh’s Agra district, the rape and brutal murder of a 5-year-old girl has shaken people to their core. The daughter of Sushil Bhardwaj (name changed), residing in a village within the Etmadpur police station area of the district, went for her tuition on December 30th afternoon. The accused, Rajveer Jatav, with malicious intent to satisfy his lust, committed the ruthless murder of the victim.
The accused had previously lured the girl frequently to indulge in inappropriate behavior. On the day of the incident, the accused had planned to commit the heinous act of sexual assault on the child. As per Sushil, his daughter had gone for her tuition in the afternoon. Later, the teacher called and informed them that she had not attended the class.
Upon her non-arrival at the tuition, the family initiated a search. Around evening, at approximately 6:30 PM, the girl’s lifeless body was found on the other side of the road in front of the house, behind an empty plot. The child had several injury marks on her body.
The accused, failing to satisfy his desires, brutally killed the girl. According to relatives, the victim’s eyes were gouged out, and she had severe head injuries. Additionally, one of the girl’s fingers was also cut off.
Police identified the accused through CCTV footage. During interrogation, the accused confessed that he initially drowned the girl in water but when that didn’t satisfy him, he attacked her head with a sharp stone. Subsequently, he dumped her body amidst a pile of garbage and fled. The accused, Rajveer of Nagla Kesiya in Etmadpur, had been working as a livestock caretaker in the village for the past two years.
