Dalit accounts mock demise of Lata Mangeshkar, Tributed vulgar song for her Brahmin identity

New Delhi: Where the whole country is mourning over the sad demise of Shri Lata Mangeshkar, Ambedkarites are trolling her for refusing to sing a song on Ambedkar. Many Twitter and Instagram handles are mocking the demise and declaring her casteist just because once she refused to sing a song on Ambedkar. 

An Instagram account ‘Dalit Memers’ has done four posts on Lata Ji. With the caption “Burn In Hell Lata”, the account has posted the edited picture of Lata Mangeshkar. The text on the picture reads “This casteist Bamni singer refused to sing  Ambedkar songs”.

In another post, Dalit Memers has posted a vulgar song with the caption “Tribute to Bamni Singer Lata”. The lyrics of the song reads as “Ek din Mar Jayega Kutte Ki maut, Jag mei sab kahenge mar gya Ma@3C#4d””

When Lata Mangeshkar refused to sing on Ambedkar

As per a Marathi news portal ‘Lokmat’,  once Lata Mangeshkar had refused the offer to sing a song on Ambedkar. Lokmat claims that famous Ravichandra Hudashankar, Namdev, and Raja Dasle had tried convincing Lata Mangeshkar to sing a song on Ambedkar but she refused. She offered them a meal but didn’t respond to the request. 

Country is observing two days of national mourning

The central government has decided to observe two days of national mourning in memory of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. Known as the ‘Nightingale of India’, Lata Mangeshkar passed away at Candy Breach Hospital in Mumbai early Sunday. She was 92.
