India(Sultanpur): A 25-year-old Brahmin girl has accused a police officer of molestation and harassment in the Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. In a complaint given to the Sultanpur SP, she alleged that Sub Inspector Vikas Kumar is forcing her to come into a relationship to satisfy his sexual advances.
Vikas Kumar, who is posted at the Nirala Nagar police station, was following the girl for the last two months. He arranged her phone number and tried to contact the girl through his personal numbers. Also, an audio recording has gone viral where he was heard ordering the girl to be his girlfriend as his wife is 6 months old pregnant so he needs someone who can satisfy his physical needs.
The issue surfaced on Wednesday after an independent Brahmin organization shared the details on the social media.
When our team reached the victim, she showed us all the proof she had collected so far. “Vikas Kumar was following me for the last three months and had tried to talk to me on several occasions. Once I started objecting to the acts he arranged my phone number from other sources. He was forcing me to attend his video calls and had forced me to accept his proposal”, the girl told Neo Politico.
“Vikas Kumar also threatened me with the SC-ST Act when I objected to his behaviour and acts”, she added.
A screenshot of the call details and video calls have been shared by the girl to the SP. Her statements have also been registered at the local police station and an investigation is going on into the allegations made by the girl.
