Lucknow: A significant controversy unfolded in Meerut’s Partapur area after reports of the religious conversion of 500 individuals at a local church surfaced. Following the incident, various Hindu organizations, including the Hindu Raksha Dal, Kisan Manch, and Hindu Jagran Manch, staged protests demanding action against those involved.
The event occurred in Shankar Nagar, where a gathering at a mini church allegedly facilitated mass religious conversions. Reports indicate that a soundproof room was used to conduct prayer meetings during the conversion process. The situation escalated when activists from the aforementioned organizations raised an uproar, prompting police intervention.
As a result, 15 individuals were taken into custody for questioning. Five suspects have been specifically named in the case, and reports have been registered against 12 others. Police investigations are ongoing to identify the full extent of involvement and motives behind the conversions.
