“Har Ghar Se Santosh Verma Niklega”: Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad Backs IAS Officer, Sparks Fresh Political Row at Ambedakar’s Mahaparinirvan Diwas Event

Dadhiya: At a massive public gathering organised on the 69th Mahaparinirvan Diwas of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Bhim Army President and MP Chandrashekhar Azad delivered a fiery speech that has triggered a new round of political controversy. Addressing the crowd, Azad strongly defended IAS officer Santosh Verma, currently at the centre of a storm over his remarks on Brahmin daughters and launched sharp attacks on political leaders criticising the officer.

Azad declared, “No matter how many Santosh Vermas you suppress, a Santosh Verma will emerge from every home.” He accused political parties of intimidation and said their threats would not silence voices speaking against caste oppression. “All these leaders uniting against Santosh Verma, what will you do? How many Santosh Vermas will you silence? Tomorrow, every home will produce a Santosh Verma,” he asserted.

The Bhim Army chief also invoked Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy and asserted that his supporters are not “neele kabootar (blue pigeons)” but “neele baaz (blue hawks)”.

His comments, especially the explicit endorsement of the IAS officer and criticism of Hindutva ideology, ignited immediate reactions on social media. Supporters praised Azad for taking a bold stand, while opponents accused him of deepening social fault lines and justifying controversial statements.

The gathering, held in Dadhiya village near Indergarh, saw a significant turnout as people marked Dr. Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Diwas. However, Chandrashekhar Azad’s remarks have now shifted the spotlight from the commemorative event to a heated political debate.
