Patna Police Launch Raids to Arrest Khan Sir After Firing Video Surfaces; Attempted Murder and Arms Act Charges Filed

Patna: Popular educator and YouTuber Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, has come under intense legal scrutiny after a video allegedly showing his bodyguards firing shots during an attack on his coaching institute in Patna surfaced online. The incident has triggered a major controversy, leading to the arrest of two bodyguards, the registration of fresh criminal cases, and police raids aimed at locating and questioning Khan Sir.

According to police sources, a case has been registered against Khan Sir at Kadamkuan Police Station under sections related to attempted murder and provisions of the Arms Act. The action follows the emergence of video footage purportedly showing armed guards firing outside Khan Global Studies during a violent confrontation that took place on the night of June 2.

The controversy began when Khan Sir’s coaching centre in Patna was allegedly attacked by a group of individuals around 10 p.m. Reports indicate that the attackers assaulted a security guard, vandalized property, pelted stones at the premises, and tore down posters and banners associated with the coaching institute. One of the guards was reportedly seriously injured during the violence.

Soon after receiving information about the attack, Khan Sir reached the scene. In the immediate aftermath, he claimed that the attackers had fired multiple rounds. However, he later distanced himself from those statements, creating confusion about the sequence of events and the nature of the violence that occurred.

The situation took a dramatic turn on June 4, when a video allegedly showing two of Khan Sir’s bodyguards opening fire outside the coaching institute began circulating on social media. Following verification of the footage, police summoned the two guards for questioning at Kadamkuan Police Station. After several hours of interrogation, both were arrested and subsequently sent to judicial custody.

Police officials have also seized the weapons used by the guards and initiated a forensic verification process. A fresh FIR was registered after authorities reviewed the footage and gathered preliminary evidence related to the firing incident.

During questioning, the arrested guards allegedly stated that the shots were fired on the instructions of Khan Sir. Based on these statements and other evidence collected during the investigation, police named Khan Sir as an accused in the new case. Sources indicate that raids are being conducted to locate him and further investigate his role in the incident.

Responding to the allegations, Khan Sir has maintained that the firing was carried out in self-defense. Speaking publicly on the matter, he argued that the situation was extremely dangerous and that immediate action was necessary to protect lives while waiting for police assistance.

“There was a fight going on. I knew it would take time for the police to arrive. The police wouldn’t fly there, so we fired in self-defense,” he said. He also defended the role of the bodyguards, questioning what security personnel were expected to do when faced with an armed and violent attack.

In a separate video that surfaced after the incident, Khan Sir addressed students inside a classroom and discussed the attack. He displayed CCTV footage and claimed that the injured guard had been brutally beaten by a large group of people. Holding up a book, he reportedly swore that firing had indeed taken place during the incident.

The educator also used the opportunity to defend his coaching institute’s role in providing affordable education. He warned students that if Khan Global Studies were forced to shut down, coaching fees across the sector could rise significantly in the coming months. According to him, his objective has never been profit-making but making quality education accessible to a larger number of students.

The dispute has also drawn in another coaching institute, Gyan Bindu GS Academy. Earlier, police arrested the academy’s director, Roshan Anand, along with two associates, Abhishek and Gaurav, in connection with the violence. All three were later sent to judicial custody by a Patna court.

Roshan Anand has denied any involvement in the attack, alleging that he has been falsely implicated. He claimed that he had been out of Bihar for several days due to health issues and had no role in organizing or participating in the incident.

Meanwhile, the controversy has sparked student protests in Patna. Thousands of students reportedly gathered at Kargil Chowk, demanding the release of Roshan Anand and questioning the actions taken by the authorities. Protesters held a candlelight march and alleged that a conspiracy was underway to frame certain individuals while shielding others.

As the investigation continues, Patna Police are examining video evidence, witness statements, and forensic reports related to the seized weapons. The case has attracted widespread public attention due to Khan Sir’s immense popularity, with millions of followers across YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

Authorities have stated that further action will depend on the findings of the ongoing investigation, while both sides continue to present conflicting versions of the events surrounding the attack and subsequent firing incident.
