GMADA Launches E-Auction of 36 Commercial Properties, Sector 62 Mixed Land Use Site Worth Rs. 1,214 Crore Tops List

Mohali: The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has launched an e-auction for 36 commercial and mixed land use (MLU) properties across key development zones, including Aerocity, IT City, Sector 62, Sector 66, Sector 67, Sector 79 and Sector 83. The auction, which opened recently, will remain live until August 19, offering investors and developers an opportunity to bid for a wide range of commercial assets.

The highlight of the auction is the 27.78-acre mixed land use site in Sector 62, which has been listed with a reserve price of ₹1,214.16 crore. The property, which remained unsold during the previous e-auction, has once again been offered for bidding and is the most expensive asset in the current auction.

In total, GMADA has put 11 major mixed land use sites under the hammer. Among the prominent properties is an 18.19-acre site in Sector 83 Alpha, carrying a reserve price of ₹744.82 crore. Another significant offering is a 14.10-acre site in Aerocity Block H, valued at ₹523.82 crore, while a 9.01-acre site in Sector 66 Beta has been listed with a reserve price of ₹413.56 crore. Additional MLU sites located in Aerocity Blocks I, E, G and J have also been included in the auction.

Apart from mixed land use properties, GMADA has offered three hotel sites in Sector 66 Beta. A five-acre hotel plot has a reserve price of ₹139.59 crore, while two other hotel sites measuring 4.02 acres each have been priced at ₹112.23 crore apiece.

The authority has also listed three combined commercial sites in Sector 67 with a reserve price of ₹128.29 crore, along with another commercial site in Sector 79, carrying a reserve price of ₹114.48 crore.

The auction also includes several institutional properties aimed at expanding essential services in the region. Hospital sites located in Aerocity Block A, Sector 83 Alpha and Sector 79 have been put up for bidding. Additionally, a petrol pump site in Medicity, New Chandigarh, has been included in the auction catalogue.

Alongside the larger commercial and institutional properties, GMADA has listed 14 shop-cum-office (SCO) sites and one booth. These comprise two SCOs in Phase 2, four in Phase 10 and eight in D Block, Sector 69, while the booth is situated in Phase 5.

GMADA expects the sale of these commercial, institutional and mixed land use properties to generate substantial revenue while attracting fresh investments to the rapidly developing Mohali region. The authority believes the auction will support planned urban expansion and strengthen commercial infrastructure in its key growth corridors.
