Social Media Post Targeting Brahmin Community Sparks Outrage in Bidhuna; 50 Lodge Complaint

Bidhuna: A controversial social media post allegedly made by a local Samajwadi Party leader has triggered strong protests in Bidhuna town of Auraiya district. The post, which appeared on Facebook from a profile named Gaurav Raghuvanshi, reportedly contained objectionable and inflammatory remarks against the Brahmin community, as well as indecent comments directed at the Prime Minister.

The post quickly drew sharp reactions from members of several communities, including the Brahmin and Kshatriya groups, who accused the poster of attempting to disrupt social harmony and communal peace. In response, a group of around 50 people submitted a written complaint at the local police station, demanding strict legal action against the accused.

The complaint was signed by several prominent community members and leaders, including Brahmin Mahasabha state president Neeraj Chaudhary, along with Kunal Tiwari, Annu Trivedi, Deepu Tiwari, and Govind Dubey.

The complainants stated that such derogatory and politically motivated posts not only hurt the sentiments of a particular community but also risk sparking tensions in the area. They urged the authorities to act swiftly to prevent further unrest.

Police officials have acknowledged the receipt of the complaint and assured the public that the matter will be thoroughly investigated. “We are looking into the details of the post and verifying the authenticity of the Facebook profile. Action will be taken as per law,” said a senior officer from the police station.

As of now, no FIR has been officially registered, but preliminary inquiry has begun.
