Beawar: A disturbing case of rape, blackmail, and forced religious conversion has come to light in Vijay Nagar, Beawar, Rajasthan, exposing a network of youths targeting minor school girls. The victims were allegedly lured into relationships, blackmailed with compromising videos, and pressured to convert to a particular religion. Shockingly, the accused reportedly operated with a system of “rates” based on the girls’ caste, with a higher “price” assigned to girls from the Brahmin community.
The victims, minors attending local schools, were allegedly targeted by a group of youths who would accost them on their way to school, pressuring them into friendships. The accused concealed their religious identities during the initial stages of the relationships. Once trust was gained, the girls were taken to restaurants and subjected to exploitation. The accused filmed and photographed the girls in compromising situations, using this material to blackmail and coerce them into further compliance. The victims reported being threatened with violence against their families if they resisted.
Adding a chilling dimension to the case, the victims revealed that the accused spoke of a system where they were rewarded financially for “trapping” girls. Disturbingly, these rewards were allegedly based on the caste of the victim. The accused reportedly stated that trapping a Brahmin girl would earn them 20 lakhs, while girls from other communities were assigned rates of 10 to 15 lakhs. This revelation has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns about the motivations and scope of the accused’s activities.
The victims’ accounts suggest a well-organized operation involving 12-15 youths. Local residents, parents, and Hindu organizations staged protests demanding swift action and justice for the victims. Their collective outcry led to the registration of a formal case with the police.
So far, five youths have been arrested in connection with the case, and two minors have been taken into custody. The arrested individuals have been identified as Rihan Mohammed, Sohail Mansoori, Luqman, Armaan Pathan, and Sahil Qureshi. Police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Masuda DYSP Sajjan Singh Rathore confirmed that the FIR filed by the families of the victims includes allegations of blackmail, intimidation, and threats of murder. The accused are also being investigated for their alleged attempts to force the victims to convert to their religion.
The police investigation is ongoing, and authorities have stated that some of the accused are still absconding. A search is underway to apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the alleged crimes. According to police reports, the accused employed a systematic method of trapping the girls. They would initially target one girl, often providing her with a Chinese mobile phone. After establishing control through blackmail and manipulation, they would then pressure this victim to recruit other girls from her class, threatening to abandon her if she refused. This chain of coercion led to multiple girls being trapped and exploited. The police are exploring the extent of the network and the possibility of involvement of other individuals or groups.
The Beawar case has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the vulnerability of young girls and raising concerns about the targeting of specific communities. The investigation is ongoing, and the police have assured the public that strict action will be taken against all those found guilty. The incident underscores the need for increased vigilance and awareness to protect young people from such predatory activities.
