Lucknow: For giving genocidal calls against Brahmins and upper castes, a Lucknow court has summoned the two radical Ambedkarite leaders. The case was filed by the Shridhar Sewa Foundation, on which the Court of Judicial Magistrate, III, Lucknow, passed the order against Rakesh Singh Kushwaha, State President of the Rashtriya Shosit Samaj Dal, and Rudra Pratap Kushwaha, President of Yuva Vichar Manch.
Advocate Saubhagya Mishra representing the Shridhar Sewa Foundation accuses these leaders of delivering hate speeches and inciting violence against the Brahmin community. Mishra, a practicing lawyer in the Honorable High Court, Allahabad Bench, Lucknow, presented evidence comprising videos purportedly showing the accused making derogatory remarks against Brahmins. Mishra stated that the videos were accessed from news journalist Shubham Sharma. The content of these videos, according to Mishra, not only disparages the Brahmin community but also fosters enmity between different societal groups.
After hearing the counsel for the complainant and scrutinizing the evidence, including oral testimony under Section 200 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), the court found a prima facie case against the accused under Sections 153, 153B(1), and 505(2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Consequently, the court ordered summons for Rakesh Singh Kushwaha and Rudra Pratap Kushwaha to appear for trial under these sections, which pertain to promoting enmity between different groups, imputations prejudicial to national integration, and statements conducing to public mischief. The court has scheduled the next appearance for August 5, 2024.
“Chase and kill these Brahmins“
In his detailed complaint, Mishra highlighted several instances from the videos where Rudra Pratap Kushwaha allegedly advocated for the marriage of Brahmin girls to “purify” them and called for violence against Brahmins with statements like, “Chase and Kill these Brahmins.” Another inflammatory remark attributed to Kushwaha included the assertion that future riots would be based on caste differences rather than religious ones, specifically targeting Brahmins as the “root cause of every problem.”
The circulation of the videos has sparked significant outrage among netizens, with many demanding immediate legal action against the accused.
