On denying huge amount to settle SC-ST act Brahmin man shot dead by Dalits

Pratapgarh: A case of shooting a young man in a rage has come to light in the Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place near the Makoonpur petrol pump in the Kohdore, Thana area of ​​the district where a young man named Arvind Dubey was shot dead by two accused.

Arvind was immediately taken to the hospital where he succumbed. In his last statement, Arvind told the police that while coming back from the railway station to home, he was fired upon by Vikas Saroj and Vikas’s cousin.

Meanwhile, the villagers attacked the house of the accused as soon as the matter was reported. Whereas the police reached the spot immediately and somehow managed to calm the villagers. According to the police, the main accused Vikas Saroj has been arrested. Where he confessed to killing Arvind after a quarrel, which took place last month. Police have also recovered the gun used in the murder.

SC ST Act was imposed about 2 months ago, demanded money for agreement

According to family members, about 2 months ago, the SC/ST Act was sued by the accused against the deaceased. After which the Dalit party had demanded a huge amount for the settlement.

The family agreed only to pay 10 thousand rupees. For which Saroj felt insulted. According to Vinod, after this incident, he was looking for a chance to kill Arvind. After which he along with his cousin killed Arvind Dubey.
