MP: Brahmin man stabbed for not taking back an FIR, threatened with the SC-ST act

Bhopal: A man has been stabbed by three to four persons for not taking back the FIR registered on the accused. The incident took place on August 27 at Maldeva village in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. As per the information shared by the mother, Arun Pandey, 30 years old, was going to a place on his motorbike where he was attacked by the accused. “At 9 am, on the day of the incident, Atibal Kol, Nandlal Kol and two other persons attacked Arun Pandey by using an axe and sharp weapons”, mother told NP.

“Doused with blood”

Minutes after the attack, Arun Pandey, doused with blood, was taken to the district hospital. His condition is critical and being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

The whole matter

The accused were booked by the victim on August 19 under the charges of robbery and physical assault. They were pressurising the victim’s family to take back the FIR registered against them. However, when the victim ignored the threats given by the accused, they attacked him using an axe and other sharp weapons. Also, it is alleged by the family that the accused have also threatened to book the family under the SC-ST act.
