RTI activist booked under SC-ST act for filing an RTI against Dalit Pradhan

Ghazipur: A case has been registered against the RTI activist who was continuously asking for the corruption done by a village Pradhan. RTI activist Sudhanshu Pandey who is living in Hariharpur Village of the Ghazipur district is facing the charges of the SC-ST act. Sudhanshu Pandey along with his three friends has been named by the Dalit Pradhan for using Physical force and casteist slurs against him. Based on the application of Jitendra Kanaujiya, Son of Pradhan, Mardah Police has registered a case against Rajan Pandey, Subham Singh, Durgesh Pandey, and Sudhanshu Pandey in IPC 323, 504,506, 406, and various sections of the SC-ST act.

Sudhanshu Pandey who has done an ITI diploma is also working as an independent RTI activist. Months before this case he had filed an RTI against the funds used by the Gram Padhan Munni Devi. Based on the inputs he got, Sudhanshu was requesting an inquiry against the corruption done by the incumbent Pradhan.

In the repercussions of his applications, Sudhanshu was well aware that someone can file a false against him. Meanwhile. Sudhanshu had written a letter to the SP and DGP mentioning that the pradhan can file a false SC-ST act against him which proved true now. However, local police have ensured the media that they are conducting a fair investigation in the case.
