A recent video on YouTube has highlighted the issue of appeasement in Bollywood, suggesting that the Indian film industry has a long history of portraying Hindus in a negative light while promoting a positive image of Muslims.
The video claims that this bias is driven by an inferiority complex among Indians and Hinduphobia among educated elites, resulting in a deliberate agenda of Islamisation of India. The video cites examples of several movies and web series that allegedly depict Hindus as violent and law-breakers, while showing Muslims as law-abiding and just.
One such example is the web series “Jamtara,” which portrays Hindus as thugs and Muslims as reporters who fight against crime. However, in August 2021, the Delhi Police arrested 14 people from Jaamtara, and it was found that most of the arrested people of the Jamtara group were Muslims. The video argues that this kind of narrative-building is a subtle and systematic way to promote an anti-Hindu and pro-Muslim agenda.
The video also suggests that the Bollywood industry’s DNA is to promote this kind of agenda and that the industry is still influenced by leftists like Kaifi Azmi and Javed Akhtar. The video concludes by saying that some of the big names in Bollywood, like Jawed Akhtar, Shabana Azami, Farhan Akhtar, and Kabir Khan, oppose the CAA and the NRC, showing their allegiance to leftists ideology or Pakistan.
