Patna: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old boy was kidnapped and later electrified to death by a group of four men. The incident took place in Benipatti last week. The police recovered the deceased’s body from a farm on February 4. The boy has been identified as Prahlad Jha, the only son of Physically handicapped parents, in Bashitha village.
As per the FIR, Prahlad was kidnapped on February 3 when he was going to sleep. On the next, his body was found in the fields of pulses. Prahlad Jha used to sell prasad at the nearby temple to feed his physically handicapped father and mother who is partially deaf.
The cousin brother of the deceased has told Neo Politico that Prahlad had given some 700 rupees to the main accused Ram Bharoshe Ram who runs a Public Distribution System centre in the village. “Ram Bharoshe Ram along with Dhireju Yadav, Kamaljeet Yadav and Mithilesh Mallah had given the electric shocks to the boy”, the brother told NP. So far, the main accused Ram Bharoshe Ram has been arrested while the search for the other accused is going on.
