Love Jihad Horror: Man Poses as ‘Sanju’ to Trap, Kill Pregnant Girl; Body Buried in Haryana”

New Delhi: In a shocking case of deceit and brutality, a 20-year-old woman from Nangloi, Delhi, was murdered by her partner, who posed as “Sanju” but was later identified as Salim, a resident of Kathura village in Jhajjar. The case, which has sparked widespread outrage, is being investigated as an alleged case of “Love Jihad,” a term used to describe cases where individuals are accused of using deception in relationships for ulterior motives.

The young woman, who was seven months pregnant, reportedly had been in a relationship with Salim, who concealed his identity by introducing himself as “Sanju.” For several months, Salim lived with her in Delhi, where she eventually became pregnant. In recent weeks, as she began pressuring him to marry her, Salim allegedly plotted her murder with the help of a friend from Medina village in Rohtak, Haryana.

On the night of her murder, Salim reportedly invited the woman to meet him under the pretense of celebrating Karva Chauth—a traditional Hindu fast observed by married women for the longevity of their husbands. Taking advantage of her trust, Salim allegedly strangled her in a car en route, ultimately killing her in cold blood.

After her death, Salim, along with his accomplice, took her body to a millet field in Medina village, Rohtak, where they buried it in a hastily prepared grave. Local authorities later recovered the body following an investigation and suspicion raised by the woman’s family.

The woman’s body was transported to PGI Rohtak for a post-mortem, where it was determined that she had been strangled. On Friday, Delhi police attempted to convince her family to perform the last rites in Rohtak, sparking tension as her family remained firm in their decision to bring her back to Delhi for the ceremony.

Sources indicate that Salim meticulously planned the murder, enlisting his friend’s help to scout a burial site and arrange a vehicle for transporting the body. The car, reportedly rented, was used to carry out the grim task.

Meanwhile, Delhi police have come under scrutiny, with some sources alleging attempts to downplay aspects of the case. Local officials have committed to pursuing a fair and transparent investigation, aiming to bring justice to the victim and her grieving family.
