Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Brahman Sabha is set to take out a grand Shobha Yatra on the occasion of Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti and Akshay Tritya, which falls on April 22 this year. The announcement was made by Atul Sharma, the president of Jammu Kashmir Brahman Sabha, during a press conference held in Jammu today.
The Shobha Yatra will start at 10 am from K K Resort Udyawala with the Aarti of Bhagwan Parshuram. It will pass through Borhi, Poonch House, Talab Tillo, Canal Road, Jewal Chowk, Bikram Chowk, and University Road before culminating at Har Ki Porhi Temple. The Shobha Yatra will showcase tableaus on the life and teachings of Bhagwan Parshuram.
This year’s Shobha Yatra is named “Sanatan Jodo Shobha Yatra,” and its goal is to unite followers of Sanatan Dharma, according to Atul Sharma. He extended an open invitation to all the Brahmans across Jammu Kashmir to participate in the Shobha Yatra and give a message of unity and faith in the teachings of Bhagwan Parshuram. The event will conclude with a grand Bhandara.
The press conference was attended by Swami 1008 Sanjay Ganpatya Shastri, the patron of the Brahman Sabha, Narayan Bharti (Senior Vice-President), Pandit Utpal Sharma (Vice-President), and Pandit Shivansh Dubey (District President Jammu).
The Shobha Yatra is a significant event in the region and is eagerly awaited by devotees of Bhagwan Parshuram. The Jammu Kashmir Brahman Sabha has promised to make this year’s Shobha Yatra impressive and memorable for all those who participate.
