Bhopal: In a shocking incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol district, a 65-year-old Brahmin woman was gang raped and killed in Kanadi village under the Jaisinghnagar police station limits. According to sources, two persons entered her house a few days back around 10 PM and brutally assaulted her. The family alleged that the accused not only raped but also committed unnatural acts with the victim.
The villagers are outraged by the heinous crime and have compared it to the notorious Nirbhaya case. The postmortem report confirmed the rape allegations made by the family. The accused, identified as Pushpendra and Dhiraj Kol, have been arrested by the police.
In a strong message to the criminals, the authorities bulldozed their houses. This incident has once again raised concerns over the safety of women in the state and demands for strict action against the perpetrators have intensified.
Moreover, In a further disturbing development, the family of the deceased has reported receiving threats from the accused. The family alleges that the accused had threatened them to withdraw the case, warning that they will rape every girl of the family if they fail to do so.
The police have assured the family of the victim that they will provide adequate protection and ensure their safety. The local authorities have promised to take strict action against the perpetrators.
