Chandauli(Uttar Pradesh, India): A Hindu family is forced to migrate from Babhniyav Raipur village of the Dhanapur police station in the Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh. The Brahmin family accused the local Muslim ruffians of threatening, intimidating and coercing them to leave the place or embrace Islam.
Houses owned by the Hindus in the village bear a message —‘This house is on sale, won’t relinquish my Hindu Dharma’—that scribbled on their outer walls, informing buyers that the property is on sale.
To investigate the matter, our team has reached the victim’s village Babhniyav where the messages were scribbled on the walls.
The victim Shivpujan Dubey performs the work of a priest. His son Harinarayan Dubey is studying law at Banaras Hindu University. Hindu population is a minority in the village in which only 4-5 Brahmin families reside. While telling us the incident, Harinarayan Ji had taken our team to the land where the local Muslims are forcefully erecting a new Mosque.
“They are encroaching on our land to build a mosque. Near to our house, one mosque is already functioning. They are threatening our family to embrace Islam or flee the area”, Dubey told Neo Politico.
“Every day people from other communities come to my door and abuse me and even threaten to kill me. It is also said that if you want to live properly, then accept Islam, otherwise leave the village and go away. The people of other communities are very domineering and endowed with money power”, he added.
The Victim family asserts that they don’t want to abandon their faith and therefore, they have no option but to leave the locality or risk staying here and suffer a gruesome end. Meanwhile, to calm the anger that surfaces on social media, police have tried to solve the matter but didn’t come up with a satisfying answer.
While writing the article, police haven’t provided any assurance to the family and didn’t file a complaint against the Muslims who are threatening the Hindu family.
