Ghaziabad(UP, India): The police have arrested three people including a Bhim Army leader in connection with a murder reported on July 11 in Sarai Kela Mandi. A team of officers, investigating the murder, arrested the accused on Monday evening, said Police in a press release here on Tuesday.
The arrested are Ahad, former MLA, and Bhim Army Leader Wahab Chaudhary, and Aftab are absconding.
The police said that they murdered Sameer in Preet Vihar Kabristan in Murad Nagar Police limits. The arrested are said to have admitted to committing the crime.
On the direction of the arrested accused Ahad, one pistol 32 bore and 2 live cartridges used in the incident have been recovered, other legal action is being taken after questioning the arrested accused deeply about the incident.
The Superintendent of Police has appreciated the police team led by Inspector Hari Singh, Sub Inspector of Police Jitendra Yadav, and Sub-Inspector of Police Surendra Pal Singh for the arrest.
