Farmer leaders shared misleading video to prove it suicide, Main accused says he killed Brahmin man

Haryana: A day after a 42-year-old man was set ablaze at the Tikri border, the main accused Krishna has confessed to his crime. Krishna along with two more demonstrators had a verbal duel after which they set Mukesh on fire.

In the Police inquiry, it has been revealed that Krishna was staying at the Tikri border for the last 10 days. The villagers and the family of the deceased man believe that the accused had killed Mukesh because they were unhappy with the participation of Brahmins.

Whereas, the leaders of Kishan Ekta Morcha have released a video in which the deceased is purportedly seen admitting to having poured petrol on himself. In the video, Mukesh can be heard saying that he poured petrol on himself and that he would set himself on fire because of a family dispute. However, in our fact check it seems misleading and false.

Mukesh’s wife and his mother claim that it was not his voice. Both the members claimed that there was no dispute in the family. Also, the Sarpanch of the Village, Tony Kumar has insisted that the video is misleading. “I was the first man to reach the place. The place was full of lights whereas in the video it was quite opposite. Also, it was not his voice”. Tony told Neo Politico.

“How could they know that they will be accused? The intention of the video was to give a clean chit to the accused and frame it as a suicide” he added.

Police sources have also confirmed that the video is not authentic.
