Pilibhit(Uttar Pradesh, India): A 12-year-old Hindu girl named Shivani was allegedly kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam, and then married off to her abductor by five men of Migauna village.
The incident took place under the Bisalpur police station limits where the teenager was kidnapped and converted to Islam. According to her father, the kidnapper, who is a Muslim, later married her forcefully.
The FIR states that the girl went to the nearby temple who was kidnapped by five men on March 14. Her father said that Anis, Nasir, Munna, Najir Ahmad, and Sharif had dragged his daughter from the temple to a motorcycle and sped away.
“Najir Ahmad is involved in luring the women of the village to convert them to Islam and marry Muslims men. They forcibly abducted my 12 years old daughter and converted her to Islam”, Niranjan Lal told Neo Politico.
Police have registered an FIR under the various sections of Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Ordinance 2020.
The girl was recovered by the police on the next day of the incident and is in police custody for further investigations.
